1. Introduction

Naivedyam Innovations Private Limited ("Bansira", "we", "us", "our"), of Fl #1203 Blk E, Palm Vill, Sec-126, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Kharar (Rupnagar), Punjab, India, 140301, runs the website bansira.co (the "Site") and sells Himalayan honey, pantry goods, skincare and handwoven textiles. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address.
  • Order details: items bought, amounts, delivery instructions and order history.
  • Payment status: whether a payment succeeded and its reference number. We do not see or store your full card, UPI PIN or net banking details. These are handled by our payment partner.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you reached us, collected through cookies and similar tools.
  • Messages and marketing choices: what you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the contact form, and whether you agreed to receive offers.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health records or financial account details.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you when you place an order, create an account, sign up for updates or contact us.
  • Automatically through cookies, server logs and analytics tools as you browse.
  • From service providers who help us run the store, such as our payment gateway and delivery partners.

4. Why we use your data

  • To take, confirm, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to handle returns, replacements and refunds.
  • To contact you about your order, including by email, SMS and WhatsApp.
  • To answer your questions and resolve complaints.
  • To send news, offers and recipes, only if you have agreed. You can stop these at any time.
  • To understand how the Site is used so we can improve it, and to prevent fraud and keep it secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

5. Consent and legal basis

We process your data with your consent, which you give when you place an order, sign up or tick a box. We may also process it where the DPDPA allows, for example to deliver an order you asked for, to comply with the law or to respond to an emergency. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before, and some data must be kept for legal reasons.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share only what is needed, with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout.
  • Our payment gateway (Razorpay) and the banks and networks involved in your payment.
  • Delivery and logistics partners, who receive your name, address and phone number.
  • Technology providers for hosting, email, messaging and analytics, under terms that require them to protect your data.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or restructured, with the same protections.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tools to keep your cart, remember your preferences, measure traffic and improve the Site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the Site, such as the cart, may stop working.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and a payment process that keeps card data off our servers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. Order and tax records are kept for the period required by Indian tax law. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDPA you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or erase it;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • make a complaint about how we handle your data;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity.

To use any of these, write to us at care@bansira.co. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

11. Data transfers outside India

Some of our service providers, such as Shopify, may store or process data on servers outside India. We only use providers that protect data to a reasonable standard, and we transfer data only to places the law allows.

12. Children

Our Site is meant for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mohali, Punjab have jurisdiction over any dispute about it.
